Award success for Fiesta Crafts

The team at Fiesta Crafts is celebrating after a winning hatful of award success -1 Gold, 2 Silvers and a Bronze - for their inspirational early years’ products at this year’s annual Practical Pre-school Awards

The Gold-winning French/English Bilingual Calendar makes language learning fun and informative for early learners. Beautifully designed and colour-rich, this fabric wall hanging is ideal to grace the wall of any bedroom, playroom kitchen or even classroom. Changing the calendar is a daily activity that children love to do and as it is full of extremely useful vocabulary in the form of embroidered repositionable pieces, the Bilingual Calendar will help stimulate conversations in both English and French, beginning with the date and moving on to the weather and seasons.

The Practical Pre-school awards are an important part of the calendar and involve products being tested by independent testers in different child care settings. Each product is taken on its own merit and is evaluated on many aspects of the new Early Learning Foundation System, which fundamentally aims to encourage younger children learning valuable literacy, numeracy and life skills though play. Foreign language learning is now a requirement for children 7 and up and the Bilingual Calendar is an ideal resource for school and home to help make this happen.

Also winning silver awards were Fiesta Craft’s Fish N Spell Game and a traditional wooden toy called Sort N Shake

Fish N Spell is an exciting speed fishing game for two players that promotes hand-eye coordination and literacy skills in both English and French whilst Sort N shake is an intriguing collection of 10 wooden blocks. Each block is a different size and colour that when shaken provides a different sound, whether rattle shake or jingle; playing them is a journey of discovery for all the senses for the youngest of children

Finally Fiesta Craft’s new soft fabric stacking Russian Dolls - the colourful Family Popov - was awarded Bronze.

Fiesta Crafts takes its product development very seriously and in past years has won dozens of prestigious awards.
