Fiesta Crafts wins 2 Silvers at Good Toy Guide Awards

London based designers and manufacturers, Fiesta Crafts are very excited after having won two Silvers for both the creAtiles™ soft tile construction toy and the Space Play Cushion at the prestigious 2005 Good Toy Guide Awards held recently by the National Association of Toy and Leisure Libraries.

The soft creAtiles™ pieces join together using hook and loop fasteners to build almost anything a child imagines. However, it is the 4 soft embroidered characters and many other accessories included in the set that truly bring the creations to life. The characters even have finger loops so that they can be used as finger puppets (in a creAtiles-created theatre of course!).

The Good Toy Guide’s testing is, in fact, carried out by children themselves who have recognised creAtiles to have excellent play value. Says Rob Trup, Marketing Manager, “As all the pieces are soft, creAtiles™ has proved to be a big hit with nurseries and children throughout the country as their small hands can grip the pieces quite comfortably allowing even the youngest of children to easily create large models”.

CreAtiles™ was launched at the London Toy Fair and Nuremburg earlier this year and received a fabulous reaction. It was even selected for children appearing in BBC’s ‘House of Tiny Tearaways’ featuring Dr Tanya Byron.

Space Play Cushion

At first sight this appears to be a bright child’s cushion but upon opening it up you discover a whole universe of imaginative play. Beautifully detailed soft toy spacemen, spaceships and aliens make this a wonderful toy for sparking off imaginative stories.

As a self-contained toy, The Space Play Cushion is ideal for keeping children busy and fascinated on even the longest of journeys and soft enough to rest on if they do fall asleep.

Two other Play Cushions in the range, the Flower Cushion and Dinosaur Cushion were also Commended by the Guide.
