It’s Gold! Gold! Gold! for Fiesta Crafts

Fiesta Crafts made a triumphant debut at this year’s Practical Pre-school Awards gaining an unprecedented three Gold Awards and Overall Category Winner Award for their innovative toys and games.

creAtiles® the ingenious soft play construction set was named overall winner in the hotly contested toys category.

creAtiles® already voted the Hamley’s Best Toy of the Year uses soft fabric tiles that can be attached to each other using Velcro-style fasteners to create anything from a car to a castle or a sailboat to a space-rocket. Models can even be large enough for children to sit inside and sets also include loads of accessories such as wheels flowers and fences to help children enjoy their creations long after they have built it. A further Gold was received for the My Shopping List and 5 a Day Wall Charts. These magnetic books help parents to cope with every day issues by keeping children busy in the supermarket or encouraging them to eat their vegetables. The products, which were tested in three different childcare settings, were found to be invaluable when dealing with these everyday problems by using the simple concept of giving a certain amount of choice back to the children concerned.

Finally, in the teaching resources and equipment category the combination of role-play and puppets was an instant hit with testers who awarded The Hippets® puppets, stories and songs a gold award.

Puppets and dolls are an important and effective educational resource when it comes to to discussing social and emotional issues and these full of life character puppets with moving mouths really can help children to speak for themselves! The PPS awards are hotly constested; over 250 products entered this year so receiving three gold awards is a massive achievement for any company. But Fiesta Crafts did not stop there: two further silver awards were also received by the company with Jungle Play Cushions and Tooting Teddy Train each receiving silver!
