The Bunny Family Holiday Pull along car and caravan from Fiesta Crafts wowed the judges who named it ‘Highly Commended’ in the Best Gift for Kids category at the Giftware Association’s (GA) awards.

The zip-open caravan has everything needed for a road trip adventure: a fold down bed, kitchen and lounge area. Holding the soft toy carrot on the cord, children can take their Bunny family on a special holiday or play with car and caravan separately. After play, both the car and the bunnies can be stored easily inside the caravan. The Bunny Family Holiday not only provides loads of imaginative play at home and on long trips it also cleverly captures the trend that has seen a massive growth of UK families choosing a caravanning holiday.

What the testers said:

This product was tested by 14 children aged 19 months to 4 years in a toy library and a home.
This product has adequate packaging which can be used to store the toy once opened. The product was easy to prepare for first use.

This product had immediate appeal which was sustained throughout play with the product doing what it was supposed to do as well as with the children playing with it in different functions.

Both parents and professionals such as a teacher and nursery staff approved this product and both boys and girls would play with it.

The materials used are of good quality but testers thought that the price was rather expensive. The toy did not break during use withstanding reasonable wear and tear.

Testers believed that children could play with this toy unsupervised and overall consider the toy safe.
Testers thought that this product could help a child to develop skills such as; imagination, hand-eye co-ordination, problem solving/strategy, fine motor skills, general knowledge, life skills and observation as well as social skills such as playing with adults and other children.

This product could be good for children with additional needs such as hearing impairment as it is very visual. It is a lovely toy that encourages imaginative and social play. Gives adult opportunity to initiate conversations and ask open questions and expand vocabulary. Used with 4 hearing impaired children.

Overall testers thought that this product was very attractive and very bright coloured. Bruno, 20 months, preferred playing separately with the car and caravan. He loved putting the rabbits in and out of the caravan.
