Magnetic Activities & Games - T-2586
The Doowell® Magnetic Mosaics are fabulous creative toys that keep children busy and happy for ages. Children love all the pieces (over 1400) and love the way they are able to express their creativity quickly and easily, producing their colourful design on the magnetic playboard: perhaps an animal, a plant, a pattern or pretty much whatever they want. Even breaking apart the pre-cut tile pieces can be a fun activity in itself.
A modern take on the classic art-form, this unique toy comes as either the Yellow or Pink pack with different colour palettes and suggested starter images. They also contain a whopping 1400 magnetic pieces that are more than enough to allow budding artists to create a masterpiece, but being magnetic, it is simple to adapt and improve it. When finished, the hanging cord allows the artwork to be publicly and proudly displayed in the kitchen or bedroom ‘gallery’. Of course, with the pieces being magnetic, it is easy to slide off the design and refresh the board with a brand new creation.
Included in the pack are 1400+ reusable magnetic tiles in over 12 bright colours as well as a colour printed guide displaying eight starter designs to help a child get going. These starter pictures, reference the easy-to-follow grid printed onto the board. Even so, the best creations will come later as the child gets used to the toy. To keep a record of the artwork generated, we suggest taking a photo and, if desired, upload it onto the online gallery for all the world to see!
With mosaics, children can design attractive pictures very quickly, but they then progress to create more complex designs stimulating their creativity and imagination. The beauty of Doowell® Magnetic Mosaics is that it allows this development to continue without having buy new sets. To further extend the details that can be achieved in a design, the tiles can even be cut smaller with scissors, eg into triangles or smaller squares. An adult’s help is always recommended.
As an added feature, by using a dry-wipe pen (not supplied), an outline design can be drawn onto the board and tiles added to bring the picture to life. The pen outlines can later be removed with a soft cloth. Additionally, the black reverse of the board can also be used to place the magnetic pieces to produce a strikingly different effect.
The board’s uses don’t even stop there. The grid pattern and tactile colourful tiles make it a great tool for teaching basic maths, such as counting, calculating units in an area of a shape, simple bar graphs, or lining up tiles for helping with times tables.
Photograph your creations and send us your images for inclusion in our online gallery.
